Beard Hair Trimmer Review Panasonic ER 206 KK, vs Philips and Nova comparison : My first 1 Year
I bought Panasonic ER 206 KK almost 1 year back. Recently I visited my brother's house and found he has purchased a hair trimmer of branch "xyz" and it was not of good quality. I decided to write down about my Panasonic beard cum hair trimmer, which has served me nicely over a period of 11 months.
First of all let me tell that I do not feel very comfortable with freshly shoven face. I feel bit awkward to look like directly comming from bandbox.
I decided to purchase a beard trimmer, to keep my beard always like 3-4 days old shave.
I went to Atta Market in sector 18 Noida, India. There a many shops selling hair and beard trimmer.
Most of them were offering Nova. It was very cheap and looks very basic an equipment. It has very few settings we can do.
I have already seen this brand in many hair saloon and did not like its trimming which is not uniform across the face. I decided not to buy this as it was not suitable for my use. The price of this was varying from 250 to 350 INR.
The next option was Philips make. Of course it was having very positive feedback from many of my friends but as the price tag was not the only thing I was willing to buy. The basic model price was more than 1500 INR, and was above my budge.
I was looking for something between 800 and 1200 INR
Then at one shop I saw Panasonic ER 206. I was hesitant in asking its price as I was expecting it also to be above my budget. But surprisingly it has a label of 1295 INR.
So I asked to show this. The shop man told me it comes with 1 year warranty and so far no complain and got very positive feedback from buyers.
I decided to buy and after little bargain, settled it for 900 INR only.
Specification wise its chargeable trimmer and can be in used cord and cordless mode.
We can use trimmer while its being charged when the charging is low.
It can trim as small as 2 mm and as long as 18 mm length hair.
We can set the hair length from step 1 to 12.
Let me tell that there is no 0 level that means you can not use it for shaver.
Once charged it can be used continuously for hours. Mostly it takes around 5-10 minutes to trim beard of any length. So I never found it discharge state.
Blades are sharp and durable enough. I have used it twice a week for last 1 year and so far no sign of blades being dull or any performance issue.
One more thing, there was some problem in my house in electrical wiring and most of the electronic equipment were used to burnt time to time. So on the first day itself the charger was burnt. I went to the shop and got replaced the whole set.
That means awesome replacement.
To me its a good and durable trimmer for daily use.
