Broadband MTNL, BSNL, AIRTEL 3G, TIKONA Reviews

Guys, do you ever wonder which internet service provider(ISP) is good and which one to choose? Yes I did. In probably last 5 years I have been switching providers and plan to get my things on track.
So I thought it would be good to share my experience and hopefully that will benefit everyone over here.

It started when I resigned from my previous company in Chennai and they asked me the reason.
My answer was that I want to live with my people in my hometown Gorakhpur, U.P.. They said that is ok, and if this is the only matter you can be with your family for few months and be in the same job. Yes they said exactly that.

The option was to work from home for few months and for that I need good internet connection.
So I bought "Micromax 3G USG modem" for 4250 INR, as it was bit costly in 2009.
At that time only BSNL was providing 3G services in my city.
That gives me speed from 300 kbps to 7550 kbps only. It was fairly ok for me and that did the job.

Then I moved to Delhi and I took MTNL 3G for office work. That too was only 512 KBPS to 1 MBPS fast.

In the meantime I tried with various other networks like AIRCEL, AIRTEL, VODAFONE and TATA PHOTON.
Out of these I found airtel was costlier but good. TATA PHOTON was also ok sort of. But MTNL 3G was providing fastest network at then.

Before 2 years I switched to TIKONA broadband. And that was terribly awful.
Most of the time it was down. Bandwidth varies a lot. But I got to pay the bill.
Things worsen when I asked them to disconnect. They were not disconnecting and my bill was getting multiplied month on month. Which finally I refused to pay. They started threatening me. I got rid of them by not picking up their calls and doing all communication through email. I simply asked them if you can show me that my complains are resolved I will pay in full, which they could not.

And ultimately a guy came to collect TIKONA instruments and wires and all calls stopped since then.

1 Year back I got MTNL landline broadband. 2 mbps plan. It has been awesome so far. Which consistently provide very good and stable network signals. And was faster enough for my regular activities.

Just one month back my broadband stopped working. I complained many times and realized that somehow all my complains are being closed on paper but not on the ground.
I found there is no way to get back my loving MTNL lines up.

So just yesterday I bought HUAWEI E3121 usb dongle. I will be righting more on that. But for the time being check below speedtest.net results :)

6.89 MBPS     6.73 MBPS     6.54 MBPS     6.14 MBPS     5.73 MBPS     5.89 MBPS
And finally     10.79 MBPS

Just click on the above link and you can see upload and download results, measured at different times of the day.
The Huawei E3121 cost me 1500 including tax.
Right now I am using Airtel 3G sim in this dongle. Its bit costly as I get only 2.5 GB for 450 Rs. recharge. But when I consider its performance I feel its pretty fast for all my daily need.
When I open any youtube video it starts playing instantly no buffering at all.
I can work on my office workstation using remote and there is no latency in keyboard hit or mouse click. Feel like working on home PC.
The download speed varies from time to time. During busy hours it between 3 MBPS and 5 MBPS. During late night hours its above 6 MBPS most of the time. I just planned to take reliance 3G sim and check with my dongle. Lets hope for some interesting story.
